The electric lawn mower mows at the speed of 20 km/hr. How much can this mower mow in 40 hours?

ANSWERS WITH EXPLANATIONS

Speed = Distance/ time

20 = D/ 40

D = 40*20 = 800 km.

Speed = Distance/ time

190/3 = 1000/ time

63.3 = 1000/ time

Time = 1000/63.3

= 15.7 hours

= 16 hours (approx.)

Akshita’s speed = 200/24 = 8.3 km/hr

Hours taken = 1200/8.3

= 144.5 hours = 144 hours approx

Walking hours in one day = 24-12 = 12 hours

No. of days = 144/12 = 12 days

Let the distance between home and school be x km.

For X, Time = x/ 5

For Y, Time = x/7

x/5 – x/7 = 60/60

x = 17.5 km

Distance to be covered = 100 + 1000 = 1100 m. = 1100/1000 = 1.1 km

Speed = 50 km/hr.

Time taken = 1.1/ 50 = 0.022 hours = 79.2 seconds

Converting the speed in m/s

6 km/h = (6 * 5 * 60)/ 18 = 100 m/min

Number of plants in one minute = 100/ 2 = 50

Number of plants in 20 minutes = 50* 20 = 1000

Length of the Driveway food plaza = speed of car * extra time taken to cross the Driveway food plaza.

Converting 80 kmph in m/s = 80* 5/18 = 22.2 m/s

Extra time = 30-20 = 10 seconds

Length of the Driveway food plaza = 22.2 * 10

= 222 m.

Required speed = 100/3.5 = 28.5 km/h

Required distance = Speed * time

= 7.5 * 4

= 30 km.
