If 1000 is 33.33% less than 1500, by what percentage is 1500 more than 1000?

ANSWERS WITH EXPLANATION

1. Goals scored in International matches = (55/100)*300

= 165

Goals scored in National matches = 300 – 165 = 135

2. Value of showpiece in 2016 = 15000 + (15/100)*15000

= 15000+ 2250

= Rs. 17250

Value of showpiece in 2017 = 17250 + (15/100)*17250

= 19837.5

3. No. of officers = 400 – ( 70/100)*400

= 400- 280

= 120

No. of officers that are not captain = 120 – (25/100)*120

= 120 – 30

= 90

4. Total no. Of days in July = 31

No. of days with 1 in it = 13

Percentage = (13/31)* 100

= 41.9%

5. Total no. of numbers with one in one’s and ten’s place = 19

Total no.’s = 100

Required Percentage = (19/100)*100 = 19%

6. Let the original salary be x.

X – (26/100)*x = 17000

X = Rs. 22972 ( approx.)

7. Total price = Rs. 30000

Let the price of dress brought by Siya be x.

Price of dress brought by Riya = 30000 – x

As per the question,

30000 – x = (70/100)*x + 1500

X = Rs. 16764

8. Percentage increase in deaths = [(250,000- 50000)/50000] *100

= (200000/50000)*100

= 400%

Average percentage each year = 400/4 = 100% each year

9 Here, the price has reduced by 22%, and therefore,

Percent of vegetable more that should be bought in order to keep the expenditure unchanged =[ m/(100-m) *100] %

= [ 22/(100-22)*100]

= 25%
