The CLAT PG Exam was finally conducted on July 23, 2021, from 2 PM to 4 PM after much waiting. Unlike last year, CLAT PG 2021 was pen and paper-based. A total of 70,277 students registered for CLAT 2021. Out of this, 10,434 students registered for the Postgraduate exam. In this CLAT 2021 PG Exam Analysis, we will go through the section-wise detailed analysis of the paper. Also, we will take a look at the difficulty level of questions, the pattern of the exam and the weightage of topics.

The CLAT PG Exam consists of 120 questions that need to be answered in 120 minutes. The division of questions and weightage of sections is as follows:

Difficulty Level of CLAT 2021 PG Exam: An Analysis
The exam in total consisted of 34 pages. Overall, it can be said that the difficulty level of CLAT PG was moderate.
There were 20 legal passages, each containing 6 questions related to the passage. The question paper was based on topics that have been of recent concern for the legal community.
The difficulty level of the paper was easy to medium. An analysis of the paper highlights the significance of recent judicial decisions in the examination. Though it may have come as a surprise to some students to find questions related to the Code of Criminal Procedure in the exam paper, it didn’t catch us off guard completely.
A well-prepared student, who has sincerely studied the recent judgments, CLATapult materials and question banks, will find the paper pretty doable.Â

Further, 24.16% of the questions were directly based on landmark and recent cases. The rest of the paper was conceptual, testing the legal acumen of the students. Some instances of problem-based questions were also found in the paper.

CLAT PG 2021 Expected Cut off
- The expected cut off for Top 3 NLUs is around 90.
- The expected cut off for Top 10 NLUs is 80+.
- And for the remaining NLUs, the cut off expected is 73+.Â

CLAT PG is having this much cut off?? My score is around 57.5. Last year it would’ve been top 50. Kind of frustrating to know that this I won’t even get top 10 NLUs
